πŸ“š Priority Rules
FCFS
First Come, First Served β€” process in arrival order
SPT
Shortest Processing Time β€” quickest jobs first (minimizes avg flow time)
EDD
Earliest Due Date β€” most urgent jobs first (minimizes max lateness)
CR
Critical Ratio β€” (time remaining)/(work remaining). Lowest first.
πŸ’‘ Key Insight

No single rule is "best" for everything. SPT minimizes average wait time, but EDD prevents any single job from being extremely late.
